Here at AUT University we are limited to using Nylon Polyamide which is known as PA2200.
Material Data and general info is available HERE (they refer to it as 'stong and flexible'). This info is from 'Shapeways' site whom are one of the largest commercial 3D printing companies out there and have a load further information and options available on site.
How To Seal SLS Nylon
The parts that come out of the SLS machine are made of a white Nylon which is very porous and grainy on the surface. This means that it gets grubby very fast and is very hard to clean. Here is a video put up by Brandon Enright whom uses Aceton and Super Glue to seal the surface. Credit to Shapeways and Brandon for this info.
